I’m Isabella Littleford—a fashion industry veteran who’s spent years studying the balance of couture and comfort.
Backed by 10+ years in style and design, I’ve had the honor of honing my craft in Paris, the capital of couture and working alongside top-tier global designers. That experience taught me to recognize luxury-level detail, forward-thinking design, and pieces that last. Golden Goose sneakers have long caught my attention, a brand that perfectly combines a pre-worn character with luxury-level build quality. Here, I’ll walk you through my thoughts on different Superstar models, diving into their style, comfort, and versatility.
Whether you obsess over every new drop or just want a reliable fashion-forward pair, I’m here to guide you through it all with insights drawn from my years in the fashion trenches. Come with me as we unpack what sets these sneakers apart!
A few months back, I bought my first Golden Goose sneakers (which I originally featured in this post), and got tons of questions from you guys ever since. So many that I thought it was time for a full review! I’ve also had them long enough that I can confidently speak to their craftsmanship, and a number of other aspects about them, which you’ll see me go more into detail about.
So I’m breaking down a bunch of frequently asked questions, as well as how to grab them for less, below! Also, if you’re interested in more try-ons and reviews, have a scroll through my Abercrombie vs. Agolde jean shorts review, Goyard St. Louis GM Tote review, and review of my Dudley Stephens fleece!
Where were you able to get your pair?
Cettire had them on sale and I took advantage right away!
Placed my order on the 28th of April and they were shipped to me by the 30th, so the shipping was super fast which was a major plus
How much do they cost?
I snagged a pair for $385.43, though they usually go for around $513.91.
You can expect to pay between four hundred bucks and seventeen hundred depending on their level of detail.
Do they fit as black golden goose sneakers expected?
I’d say they fit just right, based on my pair.
Since they don’t stretch and they don’t come in half sizes, I’d choose the larger option.

How comfy are they?
They’re extremely comfortable, and only took a few hours to break in..
How do they perform over time?
Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they still look great. No glitter has fallen off, and the leather hasn’t stretched. Since the aesthetic is distressed, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
How are they vs. other brands?
They’re the highest quality sneakers I have. I’ve tried others like Vejas, but Golden Goose are just on another level. They have a hidden arch lift that adds just over an inch — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re crafted individually, so each pair is unique. And the shine on mine? Absolutely gorgeous.
Are they worth it?
Yes! Just try not to pay full price. They’re expensive, so getting them on sale is worth it. I’d pay several hundred for the quality, especially if you find a style that suits you. Mine have pink glitter, but a minimalist version would also be smart.
Discount sources?
Here are the spots I found most reliable. I had a perfect experience with GGoose.org, so I suggest them first.
- GGoose.org – where I got mine!
- Gilt – membership is free!
- Vestiaire Collection – it seems they are giving $50 off your first app order of $150+ with code WELCOMEUS50
- The Real Real – an excellent source for new or hardly used Golden Goose sneakers at fantastic prices
- Ebay – tons of amazing bargains on lightly used pairs of Golden Goose sneakers
- @likeabandit – she shares plenty of Golden Goose finds on her Instagram stories, keep an eye out
Where did you score your pair?
I grabbed mine from Cettire when they had a limited-time deal going on.
I ordered them on the 28th of April and they were delivered by the 30th, so the shipping was super fast – definitely a bonus
How expensive are they?
When I grabbed my pair in spring, I paid around $385, but their standard price is over $500.
Golden Goose sneakers typically range from $410 and $1,700, depending on how customized they are.
How does the sizing run?
I’d say they fit true to size, based on my pair. They haven’t stretched noticeably, so if you’re in the middle, I’d go up
How comfy are they?
They felt good right away. I wear no-show socks with them, especially since they reduce sweat. They’re made with real Italian leather, so it’s much more easy than breaking in synthetic materials. Also, they’re already broken-in so your feet just get comfortable fast.
How do they perform over time?
Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they still look great. No glitter has fallen off, and the structure feels strong.
Since the aesthetic is distressed, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
